About the trip
Join IKSU frilufts for a scenic day hike around the Vindelforsarna, where we will experience some of the most impressive rapids of the Vindel River in their autumn glory. This tour offers beautiful views, a luxurious lunch, and interesting sights along the way.

Trip description
We take the bus to Vindeln around 09.00. When we arrive, we begin our hike at Hotell Forsen, located at the northern end of Renforsen. We then follow the trail along the river, enjoying the impressive views of the rapids. The suspension bridge over the river offers a beautiful view of the rushing water. Along the way, there are many lovely rest spots, and we will stop to prepare our three-course lunch. After that, we head towards the southern end of Degerforsen. The hike ends back at Hotell Forsen, where we reflect on the day's experiences before taking the bus back to Umeå. We will return to Umeå by 16.00 at the latest.

You will need to carry your own gear and some shared equipment. The trail is relatively easy to walk.

Equipment
During the pre-meeting we go through all equipment and make eventual adjustments of the packing list, for example depending on the weather.
Much of the equipment is available for rental in our outdoor shop Sarek. As a participant you get a reduced price.
