Trip description

During the weekend, we’ll explore a range of exciting winter outdoor activities. Our adventure starts in Tavelsjö on Saturday, where we’ll put on our tour skates and take a tour on the local skating track. After lunch, we’ll strap our snowshoes on, and hike up Tavelsjöberget to our campsite for the night. Once we arrive, we’ll cook dinner together and set up our tents.

On Sunday morning, we’ll enjoy breakfast, break camp, and hike back down to Tavelsjö.

The tour begins and ends in Tavelsjö, with times adjusted to fit the bus schedule from Umeå. We plan to meet around 9 a.m. on Saturday and wrap up by 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Before the trip, there will be a mandatory pre-meeting where we’ll cover the tour itinerary and safety procedures. At this meeting, you’ll be assigned to a tent group—your team for cooking and sharing equipment. You’ll also have the opportunity to rent personal gear from our rental shop, Sarek, at a discounted rate.
