Do you enjoy mountain biking and want to join us on an overnight trip along the scenic Isälvsleden north of Vindeln? Tag along on a cycling adventure across beautiful dune landscapes with ridges and farm-tale old pine forest!
We meet up at IKSU sport on Friday afternoon to gather the bikes. Afterwards all make their separate way to Åmsele village, but the gathering will be adjusted so that at least one but departs to Åmsele after. At the bus we suggest you eat a brought dinner or some snacks. Upon arrival in Åmsele, we gather and start cycling to Isälvsledens starting point. We go south in group until we reach the campsite where we hang up our hammocks. On Saturday morning we eat breakfast together before we cycle on. During the day there will be opportunity to take a swim in a lake along the trail. We cook lunch together over a fire and end the tour in Vindeln. From Vindeln you are free to catch the train back to Umeå. We will accomodate with bike transport back to IKSU sport.
Isälvsleden is an approximately 60 km long trail, between the village Vindeln and Åmsele. The trail stretches through a unique landscape ravaged by the ice sheet. Here there are beautiful dune landscapes with mighty gravel ridges, fairy-tale old pine forest and beaches that are part of the county´s largest sand dunes.
